Sharing Ideas with Goldsmiths University of London
We’ve been speaking to Goldsmiths about requirements for non-publication research output types including datasets and hope to keep the exchange going.

Mapping dataset metadata to CERIF
A mapping exercise has been conducted as a first step to CERIFying datasets. This maps to elements from the marine metadata standard from MEDIN.
This mapping adheres to the 3-layer metadata model (discovery, contextual and detailed metadata) as advocated by euroCRIS, and one objective of this mapping is to distinguish the contextual metadata from the subject-specific, detailed metadata. The overall aim is to obtain a generic set of metadata for datasets that can be implemented in research information systems via CERIF.
